Dan helps families and small corporations solve and prevent problems. He has a particular interest in immigration law representing employers and immigrants in employment related immigration matters. Dan is passionate about navigating a frustrating and complex immigration system to attract and keep the world’s best and brightest talent in the United States. Dan counts it as an honor to see the incredible and amazing progresses these talented and intelligent individuals bring to the U.S. after working for their legal status. He also practices in the areas of contract law, business planning and litigation, real estate law, estate planning and probate, personal injury, and corporate law. He is a trial attorney representing his clients both as plaintiffs and defendants. Dan has received the highest rating of “AV” by the Martindale-Hubbell Legal Directory.
Dan has lectured on medical legal issues at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. He has served as an adjunct faculty member at the University of Nebraska-Omaha teaching Communication Law, compiled the Reporter’s Guide to Nebraska Courts, prepared seminars for the Nebraska State Bar Association titled, Media 101 and compiled Martindale-Hubbell’s revision of Nebraska’s Summary of Probate Law. In May, 2016, Dan volunteered in Dilley, Texas to assist the CARA Family Detention Pro Bono Project help detained Central American mothers and children being held at the South Texas Family Residential Center pending credible fear asylum interviews and continues to assist through the remote program.
Dan is active in the Omaha community and has served on the Omaha Public Schools Foundation, the American Diabetes Association Board and also as the President of the Dundee Memorial Park Neighborhood Association. He has led projects to rejuvenate a historic business district and created a program to annually hang flower baskets throughout the traditional neighborhood. He authored and served as the project chairman to create the book titled, “Dundee, Nebraska.” He served as the neighborhood Boy Scout leader and is active in his neighborhood church.
